What if one day a week could change the way you see yourself—and what you’re capable of?
You are invited to join us at the TEEN LIFE LAB!
This is an awesome weekly experience where teens build friendship networks, take on challenges, learn life skills, explore creativity, go on field trips, meet local business owners, serve their community, and develop the confidence to step up to civic duty, patriotism, and leadership.
From cooking and entrepreneurship to public speaking, outdoor adventures, money skills, art, teamwork, and real-world problem-solving, there's something new every week. This is a place for high schoolers to enjoy building authentic friendships in a community of doers. Schedules and event planners will be available to enrolled families.

Teen Life Lab Field Trips
Field Trips are interactive and enhance the hands-on learning that takes place in the classroom. These class trips allows students to see firsthand how the world operates, strengthen friendships and make lasting memories. We schedule 2-3 field trips each semester.

Field trips are optional but encouraged and are typically held on a Saturday or during class hours.

All field trips during class hours are included in student tuition.

School funds will cover most field trips, but fundraiser opportunites will be available for students.

I. Leadership Development is an integral part of what we teach, covering topics every week like:

III. Hands-on Life Skills Development workshops focus on teaching real-world skills that build confidence in teenagers like how to:

Plan the Perfect Trip — students plan transportation, lodging, food, activities, and budget.

Host a Dinner Party — menu, budgeting, cooking, table setting, etiquette, and hosting.

Build Your Own Budget — students receive a fictional income and make real-world financial decisions.

Survival Skills Day — emergency preparedness, navigation, basic first aid concepts, packing, and problem-solving.

Entrepreneur Day — create a product, determine costs, develop a brand, set a price, and pitch it.

Plan & Lead an Event — students work together to design and execute an actual small event.
-
Community Service Project — identify a need, create a plan, delegate jobs, and complete the project.

Fix-It Day- Students rotate through stations repairing common household problems.

Auto Skills Day- Tire pressure, fluids, wipers, battery safety, basic maintenance, and vehicle inspection.

Tool Boot Camp- A hands-on introduction to common household and construction tools.

Build It Day-Teams receive lumber, plans, tools, and a challenge—and have to build something useful.
IV. Building Community & Friendships- Building strong friendships and a sense of belonging are important parts of the Teen Leadership & Life Skills Program.

We intentionally create opportunities for students to get to know one another, work together, have fun, and develop meaningful connections.

Students will regularly participate in team challenges, cooperative projects, group discussions, games, shared meals, outings, service projects, and hands-on activities that give them natural opportunities to interact with one another.

Through these experiences, students will learn that community doesn't just happen—it is something we build together.

We are dedicated to creating an environment where students can be themselves (introverts and extroverts) and will love participating each week.
We know our high school students have full schedules and responsibilities; Teen Life Labs uses curriculum to meet the life skills requirements/leadership development of 5 credits per semester, but this is NOT another class to add to their academic load.
There will be no homework assignments. All work will be done together in our supportive, collaborative group.

Grades: 8th grade and up

Waitlist and rolling enrollments will be available throughout the year.
Orientation and Start Date: October 16, 2026 (11:00 am-2:00 pm)
Student orientation will be a fun class with scavenger hunts, team-building games, and a taste-testing event at lunch break for groups to debate the best flavors of a popular candy. The orientation agenda will cover student agreements to the code of conduct, class outline, semester schedule, and handbook. Students will receive their prepared binders, t-shirts, and initial class leadership roles.

Fall Semester Cost: $195 per month
Materials Fee: $50 per semester
The materials fee must be paid before the first class. This fee covers the prepared binders, T-shirts, and lanyards for each student needed for orientation and each week.

Students will be using materials each week, and working on various projects. The cost of this program goes directly into the overhead of the site, teacher salaries, guest speakers and planning.
